CANCELLED!

Fred didn’t have an exciting life.  He didn’t have a family or a pet.  All he had in life was his TV.  It was the only thing that made him happy.  He would start his day by sitting in his beloved chair, watching cartoons.  When afternoon arrived he would watch reruns of his favorite 50’s and 60's television shows.  In the early evening he watched crime shows.  At nightfall he randomly flipped through channels watching anything that caught his eye.

This was Fred’s entire life from the time he woke up until the time he fell asleep.  He only left his chair to sprint to the bathroom or to the kitchen.  Most days he didn’t even bathe because he was afraid he might miss a minute of his programs.  Fred even slept in his chair with the remote in his hand.
One day, an unpredictable event happened in his predictable life.  Fred had just turned on the TV when everything around him began turning black.  The blackness crept closer and closer until he could no longer see.  As it engulfed him, Fred swore he heard children’s voices echoing in the darkness.
“Hey why did you turn off the TV?” a voice asked.

“Cuz this show’s boring.  All this guy does is watch TV.  Let’s play outside.”
